Albany Scenes...

An area of homes near the South Mall complex was turned into small shops and restaurants. This area became known as "Robinson Square."

This used to be the corporate offices for the D&H Railroad. It is now part of the State University at Albany offices.

The Empire State Plaza offers an ice skating rink each winter. The "Egg" in the background hosts conventions, plays and concerts.

A parade along Washington Avenue offered this shot of the Christian Brothers Academy marching band.

Every July 4th, about a million (?) people or so gather at the South Mall for food, music, fun, and most of all, fireworks! There is usually a really good band, activities all day long, and at dusk, a great fireworks show.

This is a view of some of the fireworks from above the mall. They can be seen for miles. A small floatilla of boats gathers on the Hudson river to watch each year.

This shot of the crowd looking over the
reflecting pool was taken early in the evening.
